Frequently asked questions

Do I need internet to play?

No. Gameplay runs entirely on your local network (Wi‑Fi). Phones connect to the host over LAN. No cloud servers or accounts required. Chromecast casting may need your TV and phone on the same network.

How do I cast to my TV?

Open a game on the host phone, then tap Connect to TV. ZeroWanCast supports Chromecast, AirPlay, and HDMI external displays. Make sure your TV and phone are on the same Wi‑Fi network.

Why does iOS ask for Local Network permission?

ZeroWanCast needs local network access so your phone can host game sessions, let other players join, and discover Chromecast devices. This data stays on your home network and is not sent to us.

How do other players join?

Each player opens the game URL on their phone's browser (shown on the host screen or TV). Everyone connects over the same Wi‑Fi network; scan the QR code or enter the room code displayed on the TV.

Cast receiver shows a black screen

Try rebooting your Chromecast, ensuring the host phone and TV are on the same network, and restarting the game session. If the issue persists, email us with your device models and steps to reproduce.

Where is my data stored?

ZeroWanCast does not collect or store gameplay data on our servers. Sessions run locally on your devices. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

I have a game. Can it run on ZeroWanCast?

If you have a digital game, a board game, or an idea that belongs on the TV with phones as controllers, get in touch. We'd love to hear about it: kennyye1998@gmail.com.
