ZeroWanCast

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 16 July 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how Kenny Ye (sole trader, Australia) ("we", "us", or "our") handles information in connection with ZeroWanCast, the local party game engine, mobile host apps, web controllers, and Chromecast receiver (collectively, the "Service").

Our approach

ZeroWanCast is designed to be local-first. Gameplay happens on your home network. We do not operate cloud game servers, user accounts, or matchmaking services. We do not sell your personal information.

Information we do not collect

We do not collect or store:

Local network usage

The ZeroWanCast host app uses your device's local network to discover other players and communicate during a game session. On iOS, you may be prompted to grant Local Network permission. This is required for phones to connect to the host and for Chromecast discovery. This communication stays on your LAN and is not sent to us.

Chromecast and WebRTC

When you cast to a TV, the host streams the game display to a Chromecast receiver using WebRTC. To establish the peer-to-peer connection, the receiver may contact Google's public STUN server (stun.l.google.com) to exchange network addresses. This is a standard WebRTC handshake; we do not receive or store those addresses. The Cast receiver page is hosted at cast.zerowancast.com.

Information processed on your device

During a session, game state and player inputs are exchanged directly between devices on your local network. This data is not transmitted to our servers because we do not operate session servers for gameplay.

Third-party services

App store disclosures

When submitting ZeroWanCast apps to the Apple App Store or Google Play, we complete the required privacy questionnaires (App Privacy labels / Data Safety form) accurately based on this policy. Our apps do not require account creation and do not collect personal data for our own purposes.

Children

ZeroWanCast is a general-audience party game platform. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

Australian Privacy Act

We comply with the Australian Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) to the extent they apply to our operations. Because we do not collect personal information through the Service, our obligations are limited. If our practices change, we will update this policy.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will reflect the latest version. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
